Bio Sketch
Currently, Shaun Morrissey is a Lead Scientist with the Mission-Oriented Information Technolgy Dept. of The MITRE Corporation and a part-time doctoral student at UMass Lowell. Much of his experience has been related to information flows in support of military command and control and operations. The work has focused on simulation, collection, analysis, communication, exploitation, disruption, and defense of C2 information, with three years in Germany at HQ US Army-Europe, and shorter assignments from the Republic of Korea to Southwest Asia. In addition, he has worked on creating quantitative measures of performance for numerous armed services, and various agencies in the IC. He has also worked in civilian emergency response, with clients such as the Dept. of Homeland Security, the Dept. of Justice, the President's Commission on Critical Infrastructure Protection and the City of Houston Dispatch Center. He is currently licensed as an EMT-Basic in MA and NH, and with the National Registry. He has served as a volunter EMT with Amherst, NH Emergency Medical Services since 1997. He has been Deputy Chief for MCI in Amherst since 2002, and acted as exercise observer/controller in exercises in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire. His educational background includes completed degrees in Physics(BS-RPI, MS-CMU) and Computer Science (MS-UMass Lowell).
