Bio Sketch

Jesse M. Heines specializes in the implementation of interactive, user-centered applications and websites with rich graphical user interfaces (GUIs), particularly those employing Dynamic HTML and XML and their related technologies.  He is also known for his work in educational technology, most recently through the use of TabletPCs to engage all students in classroom discussions and activities.  Jesse has published widely on these issues in journals such as the Journal of Computing in Higher Education and he is a frequent speaker at conferences such as the ACM SIG CSE.  He has also published on a variety of issues from teaching students of highly diverse backgrounds to the resistance in Greece during World War II.
