Bio Sketch

Mustafa Erdem Sak?nç is a researcher who is now working in a project called Finance, Innovation & Growth (FP7 theme: SSH-2007-1.2.3) at University of Montesquieu Bordeaux IV. The project which is funded by Seventh Framework Programme of European Commission aims to understand the relationship between innovation, finance, economic performance and inequality. The inquiry will assist policy makers and European industry to understand the sources, implications and management of positive and negative changes in financial markets.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in economics in 2004 and he worked for a leading insurance company in Istanbul, Turkey as a risk management specialist for three years. During this period he also had his first master’s degree from the department of Science and Technology Policy Studies in Middle East Technical University. Later, he worked as a research assistant in the Center for Industrial Competitiveness upon completion of his thesis on issues of agricultural cooperatives in Turkey in Regional Economic and Social Development Program at University of Massachusetts Lowell in June 2009.
