Őner Tulum has been a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Research Fellow (2007-2009) at the Centre for Innovation and Structural Change (CISC), National University of Ireland Galway (NUIG). At CISC, he is involved in Project Lucerna, which aims to identify and analyze emerging high technology industries and regions in the Republic of Ireland. In December 2009 Tulum completed all the requirements for a Master of Arts degree in Regional Economic and Social Development at UMass Lowell. Before coming to UMass Lowell, he worked as a market analyst in a leading security and investment firm in Turkey, and interned as a financial planner and analyst in leading holding companies in Turkey.
