Primarily in the development of tools to support health and wellness programs using current Internet and computer technology, with an emphasis on the development of visual aids that allow the timely tracking of such parameters as blood pressure, blood glucose, blood cholesterol, body weight, and peak flow asthma measurements through the development of an innovative Positive Health Intelligent Visual Analyzer (PHiVA) which will provide better monitoring of an individuals? personal health assessment. Also, the development of web pages by students which deal with contemporary health issues as a valid and reliable source of information, and primarily responsible for the development and continued support of the Nutrition & Biomedical web site. Dr. Scollin currently teaches undergraduate courses in Computer Technology in Health Care, and Computer Methods for Health Education. And graduate courses in Health Informatics, Computers: Health Information management, Systems Analysis and Design, and Database Management within the Department of Health and Clinical Sciences.
