Julie Villareal, MA, is a Program Manager at UMass Lowell’s Center for Family, Work & Community (CFWC) for the River Ambassador Program (RAP), an environmentally-focused volunteer youth group in Lowell, MA. Over the past several years, she has organized and coordinated the meetings, trainings and workshops for many projects at CFWC such as the HUD-funded Healthy Homes program, the NIEHS New Ventures project, and the EPA-funded Collaborative Problem-Solving project. She recruited participants, gathered preparation materials, and organized the logistical aspects for the EPA-funded Protecting Children from Environmental Risks workshops that were held in all six New England states; the one-day Healthy Homes Year of the Home Fair; the Healthy Homes Cross-Cultural Approach to Healthy Homes and most recently the Youth Environmental Expo on America Recycles Day with RAP for Youth Service America.
