HUD Healthy Homes Demonstration Project

Based on research and outreach conducted as part of a CITA grant, the CFWC, in partnership with the City of Lowell’s Health Department, received funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for a two-year Healthy Homes Demonstration and Education project.

The purpose of this project was to increase awareness of healthy home issues within the diverse communities of Lowell. The project provided community and faith-based organizations with a listing of resources and programs that currently address healthy home issues through visits to Lowell’s residents.  In addition, we provided healthy homes training to staff and leaders of these organizations.
