HUD Healthy Homes Demonstration Project


Based on research and outreach conducted as part of a CITA grant, the CFWC, in partnership with Lowell Health Department, received funding from U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for a two-year Healthy Homes Demonstration and Education project.

The purpose of this project was to increase awareness of healthyMaking plans for the project are seated from left, Stephanie Chalupka, Linda Silka, and Julie Villareal. The project provided community and faith-based organizations with a list of resources and programs that addressed healthy home issues through visits to residents in Lowell. In addition, CFWC provided healthy homes training to staff and leaders of these organizations.
