Michelle Williamson

I have been married for 22 years and have 3 children, a boy aged 19 in college, and two girls aged 17 and 14 in high school. I grew up and went to college in Vermont but have been in Massachusetts for over 20 years. So Massachusetts is now home. I still love Vermont and get back to visit my family whenever I can. 

This is my third year with GEAR UP and I love working with and getting to know my students. Many of them are from very different countries and I am very interested in hearing about their cultures, traditions and foods. In my spare time I keep busy with a huge vegetable garden in the summer, trying out new recipes, reading and traveling. I’m an adventurous eater and I’ll try any kind of food from other countries. I love the change of seasons and look forward to winter the most. I love skiing and snowshoeing and walking in the woods in the snow. I know most people don’t share my love of cold weather! Another thing that keeps me busy is my 5 year old Golden Retriever named Lilly. She’s very funny, loves to swim, have her belly rubbed, snuggle up on the couch, and mostly she loves to eat! If you are in my classroom, ask me about some of the crazy things she has eaten!!
