Bio Sketch
I love my job (and my students)!
This is my 8th year with GEAR UP. I’m married with two boys. Born and raised in Massachusetts, but I’ve also lived in California. I graduated from the University of Lowell with a degree in Environmental Science. One of my best memories from my college years was taking five weeks during summer break to drive cross country with a friend.
Besides working in the environmental field, I’ve been a stay at home mom, an insurance agent, a claims adjuster, a store manager, and more. My very first job was scooping ice cream and I still love to eat it! My favorite holidays are Halloween and New Year's Eve.
I love skiing, visiting new places, the White Mountain Region of New Hampshire and amusement parks (tallest coaster ridden so far is 420 ft.). I’m in a monthly book group and a Bunco group. I like to listen to classic rock and top-40 music. In 2005 I survived a tree falling on my car while I was driving! I try to keep a positive attitude and a good sense of humor. My future goal is to invent something.
