Tutoring Program

GEAR UP Lowell provides extra help to students by offering tutoring services during and after school.

Best practices workshop for our tutors and mentors

What do tutors do?

Tutors work in the classroom assisting teachers and helping students. They provide students content-focused support and give one-to-one instruction to students at high risk of failing or who have missed classes. They also work as mentors guiding students through the process of college and career choice and assist in after school enrichment programs.

Tutors are available during and after school at the GEAR UP office at Lowell High School. To meet the tutors click here.
