CLINICAL SCIENCES MAJOR
The Clinical Sciences major prepares students for a career in the biomedical sciences.  Students are required to take:
• Courses in Clinical Hematology, Clinical Microbiology, Clinical Chemistry, and Clinical Immunology
• Courses in a specific area of the Clinical Sciences (i.e. Clinical Chemistry, Clinical Microbiology)
• Directed Study and Senior Research courses working with the department faculty to gain skills in both library and clinical laboratory research
Several students have presented their research projects at regional, state, and national science meetings.  Some students have been co-authors of publications.

Graduates of this option have been successfully employed (100%) in jobs such as:
• Science research associates
• Sales representatives
• Quality control personnel at various biomedical, biotechnical and pharmaceutical institutions such as:
• Wyeth Pharmaceutical, Andover, MA
• Bristol-Myers Squibb, Billerica, MA
• Bayer Diagnostics, Walpole, MA
• FBI Forensics Lab, Quantico, VA
• Research laboratories at various universities and medical schools in the Boston area

Graduates of our Clinical Sciences program have been accepted to:
• Graduate school for Masters and PhD degrees in various science disciplines (Physical Therapy, Biochemistry, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Work Environment- Occupational Health)
• Medical school
• Advanced degrees in Business Administration, Health Administration, and Education
