Peter J. Murray
Director of Campus Recreation

Pete graduated from Springfield College with a B.S. in Sports Management and Fitchburg State College with an M.B.A. in Management. At Springfield College he was a Varsity Volleyball Player and National Champion. After graduation, Pete took a job as Director of Parks and Recreation in Hampden, Mass., from 1999 to 2000. From 2000 to 2005 he served as Assistant Director of Recreation Services at Fitchburg State College. While at Fitchburg State he oversaw Recreational Facilities and Operations, Intramural Sports, Outdoor Adventure, and Aquatics. Pete resides in Lowell and is an active outdoor enthusiast.

Justin J. Lawler 
Assistant Director, Fitness Programs & Facility Risk Management 

Justin graduated from Fitchburg State College with a B.S. in Exercise Science and a B.S. in Business Management.  He recently received his M.B.A. from UMass Lowell in 2009.  From 2006 - 2007 he was the graduate assistant for the Intramural Sports Program at UMass Lowell. Justin currently resides in Lowell.

Meghan Flynn
Coordinator of Intramural Sports & Summer Programs

Meg is a recent graduate of Springfield College where she received her M.Ed. in Sports and Recreation Management.  She also received a Bachelor of Arts from Franklin Pierce University where she played D-II soccer.  Meg has been involved in intramural sports in both her undergraduate and graduate career and was named the Intramural Participant of the Year in 2010 at Franklin Pierce University.

Denise Daly
Office Assistant

Denise comes to UMass Lowell after working in the Data Processing Office at Lowell High School for seven years.  She also served as the Assistant System-wide Database Administrator for the Lowell Public School System. Before working at the high school, she worked as a bookkeeper at the Middlesex Shelter for the Homeless. Denise has been a Lowell resident her entire life and resides with her husband and three sons.

Lance Jackson
Outdoor Adventure & Bike Shop Graduate Assistant

Lance graduated from the University of Arkansas with a B.S.E. in Outdoor Recreation.  Lance worked for two years at the University of Arkansas's Outdoor Center as a trip leader and shop manager.  Lance is currently pursuing his Master's degree in Economic and Social Development of Regions here at UMass Lowell, and working for Campus Recreation in the Outdoor Adventure Program.

Liz Carr
Club Sports and Special Events Graduate Assistant           

This will be Liz's first year as a graduate assistant for the CRC.  She spent the past two years as CRC facility supervisor.  Liz was also a member of the UMass Lowell varsity cross country and track and field teams for two years, where she competed in the NCAA National Championships twice in cross country.  Liz is currently pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Physical Thearpy.
