Classes for New Rowers
Our Learn to Row (LTR) classes are designed for people with no rowing experience at all. The classes are suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
LTR will teach you both styles of rowing: sweep and sculling. Both rowing styles are fun and emphasize teamwork. Sweep rowing involves the classic long boats with eight rowers and a driver, known as a coxswain. Each rower has rows with one long oar.
In sculling boats, each rower has two, smaller oars. Sculling can be done in team boats but it can also be progressed to an individual boat as well.
