Personal Training Certification Classes

NETA (National Exercise & Trainers Association) offers an NCCA accredited personal training certification that is recognized nationally and is designed for trainers who wish to instruct clients individually or in small groups. Note: Participants must have a valid copy of a CPR/AED certification before they will be mailed their certification from NETA if they pass the course.
Campus Recreation will be hosting a NETA two-day Personal Training Certification Class in the spring and fall of 2012. Information for these classes can be found below.
Note: Each NETA certification class will be held in the CRC Meeting Room (across from the CRC Racquetball Courts). Information on this session is listed below:
Spring 2012 2-Day NETA PT Certification Class
This class will be held on Saturday, April 14, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, April 15, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Register by March 14, 2012, to reserve your spot.
Fall 2012 2-Day NETA PT Certification Class
This class will be held on Saturday, October 13, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, October 14, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Register by September 13, 2012, to reserve your spot.

To study for this exam you can order on-line the recommended NETA manual: A NETA Fitness Professionals Manual for PT & Group Certification. The cost for the manual is $45.
