This Program is offered to all UMass Lowell students, faculty, & staff who are

interested in teaching group fitness classes at the Campus Recreation Center.  There is no cost for this program, however there is limited space.

 

The training will be segmented by class type and will include a combination

of class time & practical training.  Attendance in group fitness classes is also

expected.  The instructor training program will  cover the foundations

to teach a safe, effective, & fun fitness class.

 

Participants who are interested in applying to become a CRC group fitness

instructor may complete a practical & written exam upon program completion.

 

 

No prior experience necessary, just a desire to become a

 leader in the fitness field!!!

 

 

 

 

· This training program will be held every 2 weeks on Tuesdays & Thursdays  from 1-3pm in Studio 2.  You must attend two classes for each class type. 

 

 

Group Fitness Instructor Training Program Schedule:

 

Step Training:  February 5th, 7th, 12th, & 14th

Strength Training:  February 19th, 21st, 26th, & 28th

Bootcamp Training: March 4th, 6th, 11th, & 13th

Pilates Training: March 25th, 27th, April 1st, 3rd

Yoga Training: April 8th, 11th, 15th, & 17th

Cycling Training: April 22nd, 24th, 29th,, & May 1st
