Club Sports

Sport Clubs are recognized student organizations that offer a unique campus experience emphasizing a specified sport or physical activity, student development, and leadership activities.  Sport clubs are strictly voluntary, student managed, and offer activities that are recreational, instructional, or competitive in nature.  UMass Lowell currently has 17 Sport Clubs.

Purpose

At UMass Lowell, the Sport Club Program looks to provide members of the campus community with the opportunity to learn new skills, refine existing skills, engage in competition, and enjoy the recreational and social fellowship of their chosen sport or activity.  The program also provides the opportunity for student personal growth and development through fundraising, public relations, organization, administration, budgeting, and scheduling.

Membership

Membership is available to full time undergraduate students.  Associate membership is available to full time graduate students, faculty and staff.  Associate members may participate in club activities but may not hold office and do not have voting rights.
