Kayaking Activities and Tours
Kayaking Activities and Tours Offered: Annual Paddling FestivalSaturday, June 2 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Free The Annual Paddling Festival is a day for the community to visit the UMass Lowell Boathouse and learn about our summer programs. People can also try our different kayaks. This will be free to the public. No registration necessary and appropriate for all ages - just show up at the Boathouse. Note: Children participants must be accompanied by an adult to attend. Free Kids Kayaking Clinic The Free Kids Kayaking Clinics are a chance for kids in community to come to the UMass Lowell Boathouse and try kayaking for free. Parents can also learn about Kayaking Kids Instructional Program, along with other summer kayaking programs. No registration necessary. Just show up at the boathouse. Note: Children participants must be accompanied by an adult to attend. Sunset Paddle The Sunset Paddle is just that! We will leave the UMass Lowell Boathouse at 7 p.m. and explore the Merrimack. We will watch the sunset over the river and then return to the boathouse. Please come fifteen minutes early if you would like kayaking instruction. To insure your spot, register in advance. Appropriate for adults and children. Dates:

July 4 There is nothing like watching the fireworks from the river. We will paddle out during sunset and find a good spot to view the fireworks. Whether you are a couple looking to get away from the crowds or a family trying something new for the fourth, this tour is perfect for you. To insure your spot, register in advance. Appropriate for adults and children.
We also offer Custom Guided Group Tours and Classes. This option allow you to builld a program that fits your needs. Choose the best dates and times that fit your schedule.
