Corporations and businesses looking for a unique way to promote team building, bring a new project group together or just provide their employees with a fun outing that fosters a healthy lifestyle can find it though the sport of rowing at the UMass Lowell Boathouse.
The UMass Lowell Varsity Rowing Coaches will provide instruction in the proper techniques of rowing and will lead your group through an experience that demonstrates the power of good teamwork in achieving a common goal.
From the newly renovated boathouse set on the Merrimack River in Lowell, groups will be shown how to handle rowing equipment. How to move an eight-oared shell across the water in a morning coaching session and then participate in fun sprint racing later in the afternoon.
The experience can be enhanced with team building activities, and groups will have access to all the boathouse facilities including a large, fully functional conference room and two outdoor decks where lunches and dinners can be served.
The staff will coordinate all programming and tailor the sessions to the specific needs of the group’s theme including teamwork, motivation, or just having fun together.
