Recently, UMass Lowell has been publishing more frequently to its Facebook page and pushing out interesting news about programs, students and athletics.

“The goal is to give Facebook users another medium to find out about what’s happening on campus,” says Elaine Keough, web communications director. “Facebook’s robust fan page gives us an opportunity to tell our story through photos, videos and links to news stories.”

The new and improved fan page has everything from photos of all of the University’s dorms to videos ranging from the 2009-2010 River Hawks Hockey promo, an inside look at the Campus Recreation Center, and countless students talking about what they like best about life at UMass Lowell. Looking for something to do on or off campus? You can find that there too.
 
The fan page has seen a dramatic increase in activity and is well over 600 fans comprised of faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends. There are two other UMass Lowell fan pages worth checking out: Office of Alumni Relations and Athletics. In a short period of time, the fan base for the Alumni Relations page has grown to more than 120 and continues to grow daily.
