

Academic Programs The University has grown to 14,000 undergraduate and graduate students and this year welcomed the largest freshmen class ever with over 2,500 students. Students are more successful than ever with retention and graduation rates increasing and more students – including 70 percent of freshmen – living on campus. Academic programs have been improved with more interdisciplinary and co-operative learning, funded research is up, and community engagement enriched. All classrooms are “smart” now with technological teaching tools. The stronger the annual support, the better equipped the University is to provide a superior academic experience, giving students, and ultimately our alumni, a true competitive edge and helping to support the economic strength of the region and the nation.
