The Power of Building Community Through Teamwork

Athletics at UMass Lowell offers many lessons for participants and supporters, including the importance of teamwork, dedication, perseverance and preparation. A vibrant, exciting athletics program builds community. For instance, the woman’s field hockey team’s perfect 2010 season noticeably increased campus and alumni pride.

Gifts to the River Hawks Booster Fund support all 16 men’s and women’s varsity teams. This fund enables our athletes to compete at the highest level, which instills pride and brings recognition  to the University.
