Athletics at UMass Lowell offers many lessons for participants and supporters, including the importance of teamwork, dedication, perseverance and preparation. A vibrant, exciting athletics program builds community. For instance, the woman’s field hockey team’s perfect 2010 season noticeably increased campus and alumni pride.

Gifts to the River Hawks Club support all 16 men’s and women’s varsity teams. The club funds scholarships needed to attract high-quality student-athletes.
