Open House: What You Can DoNote: Open House begins at the Tsongas Arena. Do not go to the Admissions Office. Directions to Open House.
Explore Academic Opportunities * Visit College booths on the main floor of the Arena. You can gather information and talk to faculty and students about majors, concentrations, and program options that interest you. * Visit the Admissions and Financial Aid tables to learn the costs for tuition, fees, room and board for 2009-2010. * Shoot a little one-on-one, learn about the many community service opportunities, find out what it takes to be a broadcaster on WUML, see how the latest Off-Broadway Players’ production is coming along, pick up the list of Rec. Sports, enjoy a range of musical ensembles, and find out how to join everything that interests you. * There will be information sessions on academic programs and on the how-tos of applying for Financial Aid. * See the classrooms, labs, libraries, dining halls, and other facilities you'll use as an undergraduate. * Check the schedule for times of departmental tours on campus. * Enjoy the UMass Lowell Festival Band as you arrive at the Tsongas Arena. The Boston Herald called this sound “the best pep band in Hockey East.” * Shake hands with the UMass Lowell Riverhawk! * The Chancellor and the Provost (the people who shape academic and operating policies for the University) will be at the Open House to meet and talk with you. * Free bus service will be provided between Open House activities at the Tsongas Arena and Tour Hubs on North, South, and East. * We recommend you park at the Ayotte Garage next to Tsongas Arena, and use bus transportation to reach other parts of campus.
