Deadlines & Fees

Fall Semester:

• Early Action I*: November 5
• Early Action II*: January 5
• Regular Decision: February 5
• Rolling Decision: August 1 (we are accepting applications for select majors, where space is available, on a case-by-case basis)

Spring Semester:

• Priority deadline: January 7 (application opens in early summer)

*All applicants to the nursing program must apply Early Action I or II.

Transfer Application Deadlines

• Fall Semester: August 15

• Spring Semester: January 7 (application opens in early summer)

International Student Application Deadlines

First-year and transfer international applicants are advised to start the application process no fewer than 12 months in advance of the expected date of enrollment.

• Fall Semester: July 25
• Spring Semester: December 12 (application opens in early summer)

The non-refundable application fee is $70. Your application will not be processed until your application fee has been paid or your fee waiver request has been received. The fee can be paid through the Common Application, Coalition Application by Scoir or the UMass Lowell Web Application. The UMass Lowell application accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express in U.S. dollars. We do not charge any credit card processing fees.

If you are sending in a paper application, you may pay by check. Please include the applicant's name on the check. Make checks payable to University of Massachusetts Lowell and mail to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

Fee Waiver

Students who wish to apply for an application fee waiver must meet the same criteria as those used for the College Board fee waiver. School counselors must submit a written request for a waiver or a copy of the College Board waiver request on behalf of any student.

Veterans, active duty military, and their spouses and dependents also qualify for an application fee waiver.

Waiver requests should be sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
