Students should not wait for an admission decision from UMass Lowell before filing the FAFSA. More information on deadlines is available on the Financial Aid page. Be Sure to File the FAFSA Why do it? Filing it allows you to be considered for the Federal Pell Grant Program; state scholarship and grant programs; loans; institutional assistance programs; and on-campus work. Be sure to list UML on the form. When is it due? The University’s priority deadline for the FAFSA is March 1. The deadline to qualify for state aid is May 1. Where do you get it? The FAFSA form is available at your high school guidance office or at the Office of Student Financial Assistance at UMass Lowell. You can also file the form electronically at the FAFSA web site. Where should you send it? Mail it in the envelope included in the FAFSA application. The application will also include a receipt card, which you can -- but are not required to -- include in the envelope. The receipt card is returned to you when the FAFSA is received at the central processor. | |
