Undergraduate Admissions

Information for Accepted Students

Welcome to the UMass Lowell Community!

You can be proud to join this vibrant community of students who are ready to make their mark on the world. We look forward to welcoming you to campus. The checklist included in your acceptance packet outlines all the steps you should take to enroll at UMass Lowell. There are a few additional things you can do to connect with the University before you get here.

Enrollment Response

Of considerable importance are the enrollment response and deposit of $300. While it may be early for you to consider sending in these items, they will hold your spot in the class and within your major. Should you choose not to attend UMass Lowell for Fall 2012, your enrollment deposit can be refunded by submitting a request in writing prior to May 1, 2012.

Orientation and Assessment Testing

Freshman Orientation & Transfer Registration Days  are scheduled in January for Spring admits and during the summer for Fall admits. This is a requirement for course registration.

UMass Lowell does some analysis and placement screening for all incoming students to make sure you have the foundation skills to help you succeed here. Most, but not all of the assessment testing is done during required Freshman Orientation sessions. Learn more at the Assessment Testing site.
