I looked at a few schools. I live in Lowell, so UMass is close to home. I work as a Lab Assistant in the Biology department, so I get to apply what I learn in real-life, hands-on work. I work closely with my professors, so I get to know them well. They are definitely dedicated to their students.
My introductory biology classes were large, but they get smaller as you go along. You can get really involved with the biology department. The experience you get here prepares you for the outside world. I’ve had many offers to work elsewhere.
I get along with most of the students here. I’m the President of the Vietnamese Student Association. We hang out all the time, I see them everyday. The students in the group are like my family.
