New England Regional Program and Proximity Program

UML participates in the New England Regional Program. For eligibility information regarding either the New England Regional Program or the Proximity Program please, contact the Admissions Office at (978) 934-3930 for undergraduates, and (978) 934-2380 for graduate students.

Part-Time Students

The primary benefit of applying for part-time status is to be billed by the credit hour for the number of credits for which you are enrolled as of the last day of the add period (first ten days of class). Please understand that your financial aid/or private health insurance coverage may be affected by petitioning for part-time status. Application forms are available in the Registrar's Office and at the Student Information Center located outside the Accounts Receivable Office, Dugan Hall, UML South. You may also download the part-time form. However, we cannot accept forms electronically at this time.

Please note: All students, including graduating seniors, must file a part-time application to be billed per credit. This application must be filed for each term in which an undergraduate student plans to progress at a rate less than full-time (12 credits). This is not an automatic procedure. International students and varsity athletes may not enroll as part-time students.

Refer to the undergraduate chart below for per-credit rates. Part-time students will be charged for the health insurance unless a waiver is filed verifying comparable private health insurance coverage.
