Governance
Governance provides greater transparency and institutional involvement in the decision-making associated with administrative system management. This includes defining a vision, estabilishing and monitoring a plan, and measuring the results. Successful use of governance will ensure that investments are optimized, aligned with campus strategy, and deliver approriate value.
There are some UMass system governance structures already in place, but specific campus charters are being developed to support each of the administrative systems. A campus-wide IT governance charter is being developed within the Vice Chancellor's Office.
