Student Parking Permits


NOTE: Please wait one business day after registering for classes before applying for a permit. You will not be in the database until then.

Who can use this website to apply for a permit?

  • Full-time day-school resident and commuter students (fee $148)
  • Part-time (< 12 credits undergrads, < nine credits grad students) day-school commuter students ($74)
  • East Meadow Lane resident students ($148)
  • Day school Graduate students ($148)
  • MCC resident students ($148)

Partial refunds are available for those who withdraw from the University before November 1.  Refunds are also available after January 1 for those students who graduate in December. 

Who can NOT use this website to apply for a permit?

  • Those applying for a replacement decal @ $20. Go to the Access Services Office to get a replacement decal.
  • Students staying at the Radison, Imperial, Hadley, Princeton and other off-campus sites. Come to the office to get a COMMUTER parking permit.
  • Those applying for multiple/vehicle family decals @ $20. Bring both registrations to the Access Services Office to get this discount price. Both vehicles must be registered to the same family at the same address.
  • Teaching Assistants, Research Assistants, Graduate Research Assistants: Go to the Access Services Office with a copy of your signed contract to get a permit ($0).
  • CSCE students and graduate students taking CSCE courses:
    • CSCE students arriving on campus after 4 p.m. will not need a permit. Most parking lots are open after 4 p.m.
    • CSCE students arriving on campus before 4 p.m. will need a parking permit ($0) which are not available on this web site. Go to the Access Services Office to get a permit.

Before starting...

  • Have your vehicle registration ready. You will need the license plate number and the VIN number.
  • Have your Student ID number ready. This is also known as your UMS number.
  • Have your MasterCard or Visa credit card ready.
  • Have your housing assignment ready. Decals are assigned based on where you live.
  • Make sure you are using a computer with a working printer. You will print a receipt and temporary parking permit at the end of the application.

Caution:
All information on the form is verified. If you enter your license plate number or VIN incorrectly or if you select the wrong decal type the application will not be processed.
