Cards for New Students

New Students should plan on getting their ID cards as soon as possible before the start of school. If you don't have an ID card before the semester begins you will not be able to get into your dorm, park your car, get into the Rec Center, get into labs or get meals in the dining halls.

There are three ways to get an ID card:

ORIENTATION

New students should plan on attending one of the many orientation sessions before the start of their first semester. Contact the Student Services Office "SmartStart Program" for more information or call (978) 934-2105. Your photo will be taken at orientation and your card will be mailed to your home address before the start of school.

ACCESS SERVICES OFFICE (BEFORE THE SEMESTER STARTS)

Students who cannot go to an orientation session may also go to the Access Services Office during office hours, before the semester begins, any time after June 1 (for students entering in the fall) or December 1 (for students entering in the spring semester). Some evening and weekend hours may become available, so check the web site often for updates. BRING YOUR CLASS SCHEDULE AND YOUR UMS (ISIS STUDENT) ID NUMBER WITH YOU WHEN APPLYING FOR AN ID CARD.

ACCESS SERVICES OFFICE (AFTER THE SEMESTER STARTS)

If you can't attend Orientation or get to Access Services before the semester begins, then you have to go to Access Services after school begins. Note: Plan on a long wait, as lines are often very long at the start of school! BRING YOUR CLASS SCHEDULE AND YOUR UMS (ISIS STUDENT) ID NUMBER WITH YOU WHEN APPLYING FOR AN ID CARD.
