The Joseph P. Healey Endowment Grant applications are now available to faculty. These grants are intended to enhance the academic quality of the University, primarily through subventions to faculty to increase research and scholarship potential. The grants serve as an internal source of funds for pilot projects. Research that has the potential to lead to proposals for external funding will be given priority.

This year, these endowed grants will disburse $18,643. The budget for each submitted proposal should not exceed $5,000. A faculty member may only be involved in one submitted proposal, whether as the PI or Co-PI. Healey Endowment Grants are intended to fund a range of research support items including but not limited to supplies, equipment, travel, and research assistance.

New faculty are particularly encouraged to apply.

Proposals must be received by March 1, 2009 as an e-mail attachment to Cheryl_Hugus@uml.edu.
