Merrimack Valley Magazine
Merrimack Valley Magazine is a publication for and about the people, places and life in the valley, from Manchester in the north through Lowell, Lawrence, and Haverhill, and out to the sea in Newburyport. Our goal is to uncover the valley’s “hidden gems”, be they a person, a business, a physical structure, a memory, or anything else that is unique to the place we call home.

Gallagher & Cavanaugh LLP is an AV® Peer Review Rated law firm that is committed to the aggressive handling of its cases to provide its clients an early assessment of the issues they face and first-rate results. Our fundamental approach remains the same regardless of the legal issues involved. We believe strongly in regular communication with our clients. Through our attorneys’ accessibility, rapid response time, and concerted effort to become as knowledgeable as possible about each client’s needs, we help determine our clients’ goals and then zealously advocate to achieve them. We follow these steps in representing all of our clients, from large organizations with nationwide needs to individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations based here in Massachusetts. We also understand the importance of keeping legal fees and costs under control and work with our clients to do so.
Lowell Cultural Council
Lowell Cultural Council grants are open to individual artists, arts
organizations, community organizations and municipal agencies. All
projects funded by the Lowell Cultural Council must be based in Lowell
and must benefit the citizens of Lowell through exhibits, performances,
readings, demonstrations or by other means. The Lowell Cultural Council
prefers to fund local artists who live or work in the city. As a
general rule the Lowell Cultural Council does not provide funding for
operating support. We will accept a maximum of three grants from an
individual or organization.
The Cultural Organization of Lowell (COOL) was developed in 2001, as the city's arts advocacy organization, designed to provide general support to the many cultural activities of the community. With so many cultural activities happening on a daily basis, it had become absolutely essential to create a central organization for the coordination of these events. Our goals are ambitious and bold, but we believe that through arts and culture, we can bring our community closer together.
