University Relations

Communications

It is impossible to separate any one function of University Relations from all its others because they are interrelated and overlapping. Communications is the arm of the office that coordinates everything using a"beat" system.

Our office manages:

University Calendar
(click on Calendar on top of any www.uml.edu page)
Submit online at www.uml.edu/bookit, the University's new space reservation system, because you can't have an event without reserving a space. Just log in, request your space and fill in the description box at the end of the form to get the word out. Please submit at least 48 hours before the event.
UML Today An intranet news and information website for faculty/staff and students with a daily email. Students and faculty/staff can submit announcements online. Make the UML Today website your home page to get all the latest campus news and announcements.
Featured Stories On the www.uml.edu/News are generated by a staff of writers in University Relations who work on a "beat" system. Contact the appropriate writer to arrange for a story about a given program, faculty member, student or event or submit a story idea to news@uml.edu.
NewsLine A four-page print publication used to convey major news to a variety of audiences including community, business and government leaders and major donors. For more information, contact Christine Dunlap at 978-934-3192.
