UCards for New Students
New students should plan on getting their UCards as soon as possible and before the start of school. UCards will allow you access to your residence hall, parking, the Recreation Center, dining halls, and many other locations.
You must be registered for classes before a UCard can be issued. If you have registered for classes within two (2) business days of visiting our office, please bring a copy of your class schedule for verification.

Orientation Photos
New students should plan on attending one of the many Orientation sessions before the start of their first semester. Your photo will be taken at orientation which will help expedite the receival of your UCard. Contact Orientation for more information on dates and availability at 978-934-3980.
Resident Students
Provided your photo was taken during Orientation, all resident student UCards are available at the time of move-in. If your UCard is not available at the time of move-in or you are moving in during the middle of the semester, please visit our office to receive your card. You are welcome to pick your UCard up in our office anytime after August 1 (fall) or after January 1 (spring) if you wish to get it earlier, provided you are registered for classes.
Commuter Students and Late Residents
To pick up your UCard, please visit our office any time after August 1 for students entering in the fall, or anytime after January 1 for students entering in the spring semester. If your photo was taken during Orientation we will use that, otherwise please be prepared for it to be taken. The process takes approximately 1-2 minutes.
Note: you may encounter long lines at the UCAPS Office during the first few weeks of each semester.
