We recommend downloading the Overview Guide and an Activity Guide for classroom use.

Each of these guides is a PDF (Portable Document Format) document and can be opened with Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is available for a free download from Adobe.com.

The Early Industrial Revolution: An Overview - contains a brief, easy-to-read history and a helpful bibliography of other books to use in your classroom.
Download the Overview Guide (955kb PDF)

Program-Specific Activity Guides - include pre- and post-visit activities to use in your classroom. Many activities use everyday household items to create engaging, historical lessons. Most of our activity guides are available online for downloading.

To read descriptions of these programs, please visit the School Programs page.
