Anyone with a @uml.edu or @student.uml.edu email account can submit to Today@UMass Lowell, including faculty, staff and students. You will need to authenticate with your email password in order to submit.TOP

- How Do I Get An Announcement in From the Top?
From the Top is a category of announcement reserved for the Chancellor, his Executive Cabinet and other members of the campus leadership team. If you are submitting a From the Top announcement on behalf of a campus leadership team member, please include a note at the top of the announcement stating who the leadership team member is. Please complete the start and end date for the submission as well.
- How Long Will My Announcement Stay on Today?
When submitting announcements to Today, you can decide when you want yours to "expire," which should be the day after an event deadline has passed or after a reasonable amount of time. Once announcements expire, they are still available in the Today@UMass Lowell archive, which is searchable using the feature in the upper-right-hand corner of the page.TOP
- What if I Miss the 5 p.m. Deadline for My Submitting My Announcement?
Today Submissions will be monitored throughout the day and periodically be published live on the website. That's why it's a great idea to make Today@UMass Lowell your home page. That way, you'll see all the latest announcements, events and updates to facebook, twitter and the athletics news feed. To make Today your landing page, go into your web browser settings or tools and add www.uml.edu/Today/fs/ for Faculty/Staff or www.uml.edu/Today/students for students as your home page.TOP
- Where's Department News? Milestones? In the Region?
Since Today@UMass Lowell shows all of a given day's events from the University calendar, it's no longer necessary to submit event-based announcements to Today, unless they require some sort of action or response (RSVP, save the date, etc.). Since most Milestones are department-based, they can now appear on your department website. Department News can be submitted via Tridion (our content management system) for all departments with websites in the system. For more information on setting up Department News on your website, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. In the Region announcements of a general nature can be submitted to Today via the submission form.TOP
- How Do I Change, Cancel or Remove a Submission from Today?
Email email@example.com with any changes to Today announcements. When submitting, you can enter an End Date for your announcement to expire it from the Today@UMass Lowell website. Even once expired, it remains in the Today@UMass Lowell archive.TOP
- How Can I Find an Old Announcement?
All announcements that appear on Today@UMass Lowell are available in the Today@UMass Lowell archive. Simply submit search terms into the Search Today box in the upper-right-hand corner of the archive page.TOP
- Will I See My Announcement on the Daily Email?
Only From the Top announcements, those reserved for the Chancellor, his Executive Cabinet and other members of the campus leadership team, will be included on the 9 a.m. email reminder each day. All other announcements will appear on the faculty/staff and/or student Today websites (depending what you chose as a distribution list on your submission). Each announcement will have a NEW icon for 24 hours after it is submitted.
- How Do I Submit a Calendar Announcement?
To have an event included in the University calendar, you must submit via the BookIt form to reserve a space in 25Live, the campus space reservation system. Add information about your event into the Description field on the BookIt form. For calendar events that don’t take place in a particular location or are off campus, use Dates and Deadlines as an event category to get your information or deadline onto the calendar.
