Educational Background Claudie LM Grout, BA, CET, PKYT, PRYT - Claudie Grout holds a Bachelor of Arts in Invertebrate Zoology from the University of New Hampshire. Additionally, Ms. Grout is a National Environmental Safety & Health Trainers Association (NESHTA) Board Certified Environmental, Safety and Health Trainer (CET) in Occupational Safety and Health and Management and Transportation of Hazardous Materials & Waste. Ms. Grout continues to expand her own understanding of the regulatory environment and how to effectively communicate with adults by attending programs designed especially for professional instructors. Some of her coursework has included: Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) Incident Command System. Unified Command Train-the-Trainer Workshop, Departmentof Justice (DOJ) Weapons of Mass Destruction Awareness and Operations Train-the-Trainer Workshop. FEMA's Hospital Emergency Response Training for Weapons of Mass Destruction Events Train-the-Trainer Workshop, and New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services Hazardous Waste Coordinator Training (certificate number 2007-0526). Ms. Grout is also a Certified Professional Kripalu Yoga Teacher® (500 hours) and Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist.
Scholarly Interests Claudie is currently working toward a Master's in Public Health at the University of New Hampshire.
Bio Sketch Claudie Grout has trained for TNEC as adjunct faculty and member of the training staff for the New Hampshire Coalition for Occupational Safety and Health since 1999. She has worked as an environmental consultant and compliance director since 1985 and served on the Board of Examiners for nine years at the National Environmental Training Association (NETA) (now NESHTA). Ms. Grout is a long time contributor and former monthly columnist for the Environmental Manager's Compliance Advisor, and is a frequent speaker on transportation, hazardous waste, safety, and public health-realted topics. Her personal interests lie in raising environmental and safety awareness while working withing the regulatory and business framework.
