Printer FriendlyEight-Hour Work Zone Safety Training
The objective of the training is to decrease the risk of worker injury and illness in and around work and construction zones through hazards recognition, avoidance and prevention. Due to the dramatic rise in fatalities and injuries there is a drive to provide this type of training. At this training, students practice setting up safe work zones and receive a useful reference guide which is based on Chapter 6 in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). Some municipalities may be able to receive insurance discounts by providing this training to its employees.
