
Faith in Art: An Ecumenical Art Retreat

First Baptist Church, 221 Cabot Street, Beverly, MA
This FREE retreat will be an opportunity for Boston area students of diverse faith backgrounds to explore how art channels spirituality in all its forms.
In the mix...
10:00: Opening statement and three lectures regarding spirituality and art.
Curator of Montserrat, Shana Dumont, on spirituality in art
Muslim artist, Ahmed Abdalla, on his experience of belief in his
art.
Christian pastor and artist, Anne Deneen, on icon painting.
12:00: Break for lunch.
1:00: Reflections on various quotations.
2:30: Painting and collage workshop. (Paint and canvases will be provided, but please bring materials if you intend to collage).
