Mission

The mission of Student Disability Services is to ensure equal access for qualified students with disabilities to all of the curricular, co-curricular and other opportunities available at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.

Vision

Student Disability Services seeks to create a vision where students are recognized for their abilities, rather than the perceived limitations of their disabilities. 

Objectives

Student Disability Services seeks to foster equal access, support and access to technology by:

  1. Assessing students’ needs for academic accommodations on a case-by-case basis.
  2. Providing case management for assistance in coordinating services on campus.
  3. Coordinating and facilitating assistive technology that provides access to texts, class lectures and study skills.
