Project Activities
By Spring 2008, the project team will organize electronic and printed versions of a catalog of media resources that reach Asians, Latinos and Brazilians in the Merrimack Valley. To launch the catalog, they will host a School of Health and Environment seminar in the winter with members of the ethnic media, such as radio show producers and newspaper editors.
During the last six months, the project team will develop school programming and materials for the local immigrant radio and print media outlets. This information will include the School of Health and Environment’s academic programs, how to improve worker health and safety through toxics use reduction, and how to prevent and manage chronic disease such as diabetes.
