Biosketch
Lea Dodge has had over 16 years of nursing experience. Lea has had a diverse nursing background. She has worked in a variety of settings in a vast capacity of roles such as a wound care nurse, infection control practitioner, quality control manager, and employee health nurse. She has also had extensive experience in both acute and chronic dialysis. She currently works per-diem on a busy medical-surgical floor in a community hospital.
Prior to UMass Lowell, Lea has taught full-time at Lawrence Memorial/Regis College Nursing Program in both the classroom and clinical setting. She most recently was employed as an Associate Professor in Nursing at Bunker Hill Community College teaching both theory and clinical in pediatrics. She also currently teaches classes for the University of Phoenix in the online Healthcare Administration degree program.
Lea is currently a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor who will provide clinical instruction for juniors in the gerontological setting. Lea will also teach a section of the Nursing Assessment Course as well as providing assistance in the open lab.
Lea Dodge is currently matriculated in the Doctorate of Nursing Practice/Family Nurse Practitioner program at UMass Amherst.
