Student Symposium, 2012
Richard Poillucci is a senior mechanical engineering who presented his team's research, Improving Aerodynamics of a Skeleton Sled, which involved designing a scaled-down, wooden model of a skeleton sled that would fit into the wind tunnel to test and improve the drag of the sled. Richard has been involved with research since his freshman year at UMass Lowell. He says he's gained a lot of good experience conducting research and being part of this capstone project, and hopes to "go into research-oriented studies" after his education at the University. Richard graduated in May and is now pursuing a master’s degree in mechanical engineering at UMass Lowell.
