Faculty Research Symposium 2013

Poster Session & Awards Reception

The Annual Faculty Research Symposium and Recognition Reception, co-hosted by Community Engagement, Service Learning and International Partnerships was held on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at the Lowell Inn and Conference Center (ICC). 

The symposium is meant to recognize faculty for research expenditures, publications, and  intellectual property. This year community engagement and service learning leaders also recognized faculty for their contributions in these areas.

The focus of this year’s poster session shifted from individual posters to a more clustered information event. Faculty had an opportunity to be informed by other faculty and staff about various initiatives that they may be interested in connecting to – e.g., international partnerships, industry partnerships, co-ops, faculty research groups.  

This year we asked faculty volunteers to allow us to video them describing their research and how it benefits society. These videos were played at the symposium and are posted online.
