Sept. 17-19, 2014: Society for Terrorism Research 8th Annual International Conference - Communication & Collaboration for Counter-Terrorism will be held at UMass Boston. Distinguished speakers included Mr. Edward F. Davis III; Dr. Jessica E. Stern; Mr. J.M. Berger; Dr. Marc Sageman; Professor Max Taylor; Profs. John Horgan, Mia Bloom, and James Forest; and more.

2013 Events

Sept. 26-28, 2013: The 6th Annual Homeland Defense and Security Education Summit in Boston.
CTSS faculty, Prof. John Horgan, Professor Mia Bloom, and Professor James Forest, spoke on the evolving terrorist threat. Also, UMass Lowell and the Center for Terrorism and Security Studies hosted a reception at this event.

Sept. 24, 2013: New Security Challenges: A symposium introducing the Center for Terrorism and Security Studies at UMass Lowell. 
Speakers included former National Security Council Deputy for Counter-terrorism Roger Cressey; Boston Police Commissioner Edward F.
