Institutional Compliance
The Office of Institutional Compliance (OIC) serves as a liaison between the designated Institutional Official in the Provost's Office, who provides Institutional oversight and the committees required by law to oversee these activities, and the faculty, staff, and students who conduct research at UMass Lowell.  Our goal is to comply with all federal, state, and local regulations related to institutional animal care and use, human subject testing, biosafety, and export control.

CVIP handles the licensing of intellectual property and new technologies, working with start-ups and established companies. UMass Lowell matches our corporate partners with research collaborators and provides seed funding to promising projects at the University.
