What is UML Today?
UML Today is a secure Intranet site featuring news and events for the campus. There are two versions - faculty/staff and students. UML Today Announcements replaced the email distribution process.
What does it mean that the intranet page is “secure?”
A secure website authenticates users and only lets those with permission view information on the site.
Will I be able to login off campus?
Yes, using your e-mail username and password. On campus, your IP address serves as your authentication.
Why do we need a secure Intranet page?
A secure Intranet will allow the campus to post information that is either not relevant to outside users or that is private information, such as meeting notes.
Besides announcements, what will be included on the Intranet?
The Intranet will be a destination for campus news and information. In addition to important daily announcements, including messages from the Chancellor and administrative announcements, there will be campus news featuring articles that have appeared in the press about UML and eNews top stories; athletics information; calendar listings; e-mail login; iSiS login; website search and people search; quick links to offices on campus; and milestones such as births, deaths, marriages and retirements. The site will also include emergency alerts such as school closings due to weather.
How do I make UML Today my homepage?
