UMass Lowell Office of Institutional Compliance

About Institutional Compliance

The Institutional Compliance Office serves as a liaison between Institutional Officials, who have Institutional oversight and the committees required by law to oversee these activities and the faculty, staff, and students who conduct research at UMass Lowell.  Our goal is to comply with federal, state, and local regulations related to institutional animal care and use, human subject testing, and biosafety.  This is accomplished by developing policies and procedures to provide guidance in regards to institutional compliance, communicating this information to the research community, and providing training and oversight to assist the research community to meet changing requirements attached to research funding.
